About me, Bernard Laperrière
My name is Bernard Laperrière. I’ve been an avid hunter my entire life and am passionate about Brittany Spaniels. Over the years, I’ve had many dogs, participated in various competitions organised by the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) which allowed me to acquire the knowledge and skills to help me raise excellent dogs. I recently picked up hunting again after taking a short break, and I found my passion to be fueled with a lot of enthusiasm.
About Jessiecaille de La Crète Bleu
Jessiecaille, or simply Jess, is the dog that brought me back to the sport. She was born the 9th of October 2014 at L'élevage de la Crète Bleu. Her father is Caleb de La Crête Bleu and her mother is Fan Des Rives de Saint-Paul. She currently holds the following titles; FDJ (Field Dog Junior), FD (Field Dog), FDA (Field Dog Advanced) and FDX (Field Dog Excelent), she received a certification of conformation from the Brittany Spaniel Club of Quebec (EXCELLENT Reproduction Quality), she accomplished all 3 levels of obedience training at the Centre Canin des Ruisseau. Jess recieved a GOOD certification from the OFA for her hips. She’s a very energetic and affectionate dog, with an incredible determination and willingness to continue the day no matter the weather. Basically, once most of the other hunters have packed up and gone home, Jess is just getting warmed up!
Jess had her first litter, with Elliott from La Plaine Marat. She had 8 beautiful and healthy puppies in February 2018 which can be found on the previous litters page. She was a great mother for the first time and the experience cemented our confidence in Jess as a mother. Her second litter, December 2019, she had 10 puppies all female. It was a first for us to see a litter of this number of females. As with her first litter, Jess still demonstrates her exceptional maternal qualities
About DELAPERRIERE Friscaille
Friscaille, also known as Frisca, is one of the daughters from Jess’s first litter. She was born on February 16, 2018 as part of the first official DELAPERRIERE breeding litter. Her father is Elliot de la Pleine Marat and her mother is our own Jessicaille de la Crete Bleu. She currently holds the following titles; FDJ (Junior Hunting Dog), she received a conformation certificate certifiying she mmets the Epagneul Breton breed standards (EXCELLENT breeding quality), she completed 3 levels of obedience at the Center canin des Ruisseau. Frisca has received an OFA GOOD certification certificate as well. Friscaille is an energetic and determined dog, with a lot of endurance, she is overflowing with natural hunting qualities.
We are planning a first litter for Friscaille in 2021, and we can't wait to see her maternal instincts at work.
